Microsoft have updated the Xbox One SmartGlass app for Windows 8.1. The updated app adds support for notifications, so when you receive a message on the Xbox One it can push the notification to Windows via the app. In the updated app it is also easier to see who is online and what app they are playing, the activity feed has a new look and extra help for Xbox One connection problems.
Another nice feature in the update is the ability to close snapped apps on the Xbox One.
